So April is over and I'm recovering, albeit slowly from the rush of the A to Z challenge. During this month I was trying hard to learn description in a variety of ways. That's always been my stumbling block.
Descriptions.
The chapters from my novel would come back from the writers critique group with marks that say "More description." "I want to know more."
I usually shudder at this. That's probably because I'm always afraid of going too much into detail and boring the teeth off my readers. After a month of describing feelings and words, I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it.
Now to get back to my heroine in her adventures....

Description can be a tough one to crack. I actually read Elements of Fiction:Description by Monica Wood. It helped with my writing:)
